NEWS UPDATE at 27th. August 2010

  • Friday 29th. of October 2010 - Adjudicators Training Day at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, 9.30am - 4.00pm.
  • The 2011 SCBF National Finals move to the fabulous venue at Perth Concert Hall on Saturday 2nd. April 2011. In the heart of beautiful Perthshire, bands and their conductors will love performing in one of Scotland's premier Concert Halls.
  • Closing Date for entries for ALL Regional Festivals is Friday 22nd. of October 2010.



    SCBF FINALS RESULTS Sunday 21st. March



    The two adjudicators for the SCBF Final were Hughina Naylor and Robert Baxter.

    The qualifying bands were :

    LOCHABER COMMUNITY WIND BAND ( Inverness Festival ) conductor John Whyte - SCBF SILVER PLUS award

    WEST CALDER HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR WIND BAND ( Edinburgh Festival )conductor Mark Traynor - SCBF GOLD award

    St.MARGARET's ACADEMY SENIOR CONCERT BAND ( Edinburgh Festival ) conductor Rachel Baxter - SCBF GOLD award

    Alto Saxophone Soloist Chubbe Anucha from St.Margaret's won the SCBF SOLOIST award

    JAMES YOUNG HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR WIND BAND ( Edinburgh Festival )conductor Jennifer Stewart - SCBF SILVER PLUS award

    James Young High School with Jennifer Stewart also won the SCBF ENTERTAINMENT award

    STEWARTON ACADEMY SENIOR WIND ENSEMBLE ( Glasgow Festival )conductor Alan Friel - SCBF GOLD PLUS award

    INVERCLYDE SCHOOLS CONCERT BAND ( Glasgow Festival )conductor David Hutcheson - SCBF GOLD award

    EAST RENFREWSHIRE SCHOOLS CONCERT BAND ( Glasgow Festival ) conductor Kevin Price - SCBF GOLD PLUS award

    STEWARTON WINDS ( Glasgow Festival ) conductor Alan Friel - SCBF GOLD PLUS award
